EDO KIRIKO
A Traditional Japanese Craft of Precision-Cut Glass. Originating in 1834, Edo Kiriko began when Kyubei Kagaya crafted intricate designs on clear glass inspired by British cut glass.
In 1853, it was presented to Commodore Perry during the Black Ship arrival. Designated a Tokyo Traditional Craft in 1985 and a National Traditional Craft in 2002, it remains a symbol of Japan’s exquisite craftsmanship.
“The Meeting of SAKATA and EDO”
In the north, in Sakata. There are men who devote their lives to flight. They obsess over the slightest shift in center of gravity, and precision down to the micron. They put their soul into a single club. They are the craftsmen of Sakata—the ones who bring BERES 10 to life.
In the east, in Edo, There are those who carve light into glass, and patterns into pride.
Delicate yet powerful, refined yet bold — They are the masters of Edo Kiriko, the pinnacle of Japanese handcraft. Their traditions, materials, and histories are different.
But they share one truth: “True pride can only be created by human hands.”
When BERES 10 met Edo Kiriko, it became something more than just a club.
The brilliance of craftsmanship was fused with distance performance. You’ll feel the difference the moment you set it down. The moment you own, you’ll feel the pride awaken within you. This is flight, elevated to art—crafted by masters, born of legacy.
